A E I O U – A Quick Alphabet of Love

An actress is attacked outside a trendy bar in West Berlin. A young man bumps into her, snatches her handbag and runs away. The lady falls to her knees and looks after the thief. A short time later, they are face to face again. Anna and Adrian. This time she is his teacher and is supposed to teach him how to speak. Adrian is an orphan and is considered a difficult case. Anna is an actress, but she hasn't been acting for a long time. Both are a step apart from life, a step outside of society. Anna receives Adrian at her home. Her apartment belongs to Michel, he owns the whole house. He is her biggest fan. Soon, lessons turn into dinners, walks, and cigarettes smoked together. And eventually they try to take on the rest of the world. Cheered on by each other, but without a penny, they leave town. They want to go to France, to the sea...
