With the SCHLiNGEL edition, we invite you and you to an eventful journey around the world. The collection presents children's and youth films, all discovered by the SCHLiNGEL. The SCHLiNGEL is the international film festival for children and young audiences based in Chemnitz - the European Capital of Culture 2025 - and the most comprehensive platform for brand-new international children's and youth films in the German-speaking area. Every year in the week before the Saxon autumn holidays, the festival shows more than 150 feature, animation and short films. However, the SCHLiNGEL's commitment extends beyond the presentation of films at the annual festival. For the film festival is also committed to ensuring that as many international films as possible are dubbed into German and can thus be made accessible to audiences in German-speaking countries.
